After being taken into police custody following a report made by his companion in Nîmes, a 68-year-old man was found dead hanging from a tree. In the meantime, the woman had told the sexagenarian that she wanted to break up.
The facts would have been chained in the same day of Friday. That day, around 7:40 p.m., a woman presented herself at the police station in Nîmes (Gard). She wanted to tell the authorities that she had been the victim of violence with death threats from her companion. As a result of this report, reports the Midi Libre, the police returned to the marital homewhere they found the 68-year-old man there.

The 60-year-old was arrested. On site were also found a .22 LR revolver and a shotgun. The man was taken into custody for questioning. He was then released and returned to his home. This is where his partner would have told him that she wanted to break up and that he was invited to take his things and leave the premises.

If the sexagenarian left home, it is by not carrying the slightest baggage. His girlfriend was possibly able to understand why by receiving, a little later, a message from the man informing him that he wanted to end it. The police were notified of both the disappearance and the message. Research was launched in the wood of Espeisses, not far from the place where the vehicle of the sexagenarian had been found. The police dog finally found the companion, dead hanging from a tree. The man allegedly committed suicide.
