This Thursday, May 20, 2021, during the afternoon, a Old person over 80, hospitalized in North Mayenne Hospital Center, left the establishment without warning the hospital staff.
After looking for the runaway throughout the hospital, the Mayenne gendarmes requested the intervention of a dog team. A dog was able to find his trail before eventually losing it. A helicopter was then called in.
Safe and sound
After five hours of searching, the octogenarian was found safe and sound on the road to Grazay, around 9:30 p.m., in his pajamas and town shoes. He had traveled nearly 5 km. “He was lost and disoriented and thought to return home to Gorron,” explains the commander of the Mayenne company, Jean-Philippe Savineau.
