Al-Marsad Newspaper: The departure of the Kingdom’s ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, for a meeting to be held with the tribes of the city of Faour during his Bekaa tour, raised many questions about why the visit was not completed. .
For his part, Ambassador Bukhari explained the reason through a post he posted on his official account on the Twitter site, saying: “My planned visit to the city of Faour has been interrupted, for security reasons”.
It is interesting to note that the Arab clans had held a meeting in the house of Sheikh Khaled and Nayef Al-Hussein in central Bekaa, in the presence of deputies, some sheikhs, mayors and dignitaries of the Arab clans, following the meeting which was scheduled in the city of Faour to receive Ambassador Walid Bukhari.
In a read statement, the mayor of Faour indicated that after the ambassador’s convoy arrived at a location close to his reception in Faour, the convoy withdrew immediately and that the security team made the decision for reasons of security, and the ambassador expressed his regret at the failure to complete the visit.
He added: We emphasize that we place what happened in the category of confusion, nothing more, nothing less, and that we, like the people of Faour, with their sheikhs, dignitaries, communes, mayors and young people, emphasize that the Saudi Arabia is our Arab and Islamic Reference, headed by the Keeper of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Ambassador Walid Bukhari’s statement moves away from the Hezbollah media, which is trying to demonize Saudi Arabia among the components of authentic Lebanese society.

I interrupted my scheduled visit to the city of Faour for security reasons and I thank the people of Faour, with their sheikhs, dignitaries, municipalities, mayors and young people, for their generous understanding and for issuing a statement that clarifies the truth about what happened.
