After her ‘very nasty’ delivery of daughter Rosie Nova, Eva was administered morphine in the hospital to prevent thrombosis. “Then I said: ‘I do have an addictive past, so I don’t know if that’s useful’. Then they said: ‘It has to be done the first time, the second time we can give something else.'” And so it happened. that she went on morphine once. “I’ve never felt anything so delicious in my entire life. I thought, this is heroin.”
The singer was dangerously good at it. “I was flying, it didn’t interest me at all. I get that people instantly hooked on this shit,” she describes. “I’m still thinking about it. So intense.” When the morphine had worn off, Eva asked for more. “I thought: shit, now I can’t get it anymore! Now I get something different. So I said to that woman: ‘It worked well, do it again.’ ‘No ma’am, because you just said you don’t think it’s convenient.'”
Eva also admits honestly in the podcast that she still drinks alcohol. “What I’m trying now is that I can drink six glasses a week. That’s one bottle of wine. But I don’t like to drink that during the week. I prefer to drink three glasses twice, so I’m still playing a bit. I don’t know if it will work.” She describes the relaxed feeling she gets from alcohol. “Can I still keep it fun? That’s my quest.”
In the podcast, Eva tells more about her alcohol and drug addiction and her intense childhood, with a father who was addicted to heroin and had HIV. You can have the conversation listen here or view below:
