After five years, Aegean Airlines resumed connections from Prague to Crete

The carrier plans flights from Prague to other Greek destinations.

Aegean Airlines today launched a regular flight from Prague to Crete. He will fly to Heraklion twice a week during June, and three times a week from July. It will complement the Smartwings offer, which currently offers daily connections.

Aegean Airlines operated the route in 2015 and 2016, now it is returning after five years. They will fly on Thursdays and Saturdays, from July to Monday. They leave Prague at 9:55, Smartwings at 4:55. The price of the cheapest return ticket is slightly below six thousand crowns, Smartwings offers return flights at prices around 7500.

A new direct connection from Václav Havel Prague Airport was launched this morning with a water gate. Aegean Airlines is deploying an Airbus A320 with 174 seats on the route. According to the original plans, the line was to start on May 15.

Greek society already flies from Prague to Athens, currently five times a week. “Our wish is to expand the cooperation in the coming years and add other Greek destinations to the network of flights we operate,” said Ioannis Rasoglou, Network Planning Manager at Aegean Airlines.
