JAKARTA (RIAUPOS.CO) – Whatsapp It is reportedly currently testing to bring avatar stickers like on Facebook and Instagram through the latest beta Whatsapp on Android.
Reported by WABetaInfo, Sunday (23/10), the beta version featuring the avatar sticker is only available to some users on a limited basis. Users who have access to the new stickers feature will find the “Avatar” category in their settings menu.
This way users can view and customize a digital version of the sticker that describes themselves. Of course, the mechanism for the avatar sticker will be similar to that of other Meta applications.
Users can create sticker packs that come in various poses and can be used to express themselves while messaging on the service Whatsapp. The feature was first reported about a month ago and was finally confirmed by its presence in the trial version prior to the release of the stable version.
However, it is not known exactly when this avatar sticker will be present in the stable version on Android. This is also not necessarily present in the near future for users of mobile phones running iOS.
Meta popularized the use of avatars on its service, namely Facebook, starting in 2019. So, in early 2022, even Instagram users were finally able to take advantage of this avatar feature via Instagram stories.
Avatar is presented throughout the application ecosystem created by Meta with the hope of being a bridge for users of the Meta service towards the concept of metaverse.
