After drift madness – driver from the Zoo train station turned himself in to the police – B.Z. Berlin

It was a completely crazy and extremely dangerous action! After the publication of the Drifter video from the Zoologischer Garten station, the driver turned to the police.

Background: A video shows several luxury bodies that block the crossing in front of the Zoologischer Garten station. The driver of a 400 PS Maserati drifts across the intersection with screeching and smoking tires, even drives over the pedestrian fore and opposite to the direction of travel!

► Well, on Friday afternoon around 2 p.m., the driver checked in with the police, according to information from the police station. A police spokesman confirmed B.Z. when asked that “today a person reported to the police on section 23 to identify himself as a driver of the Maserati at the Zoo station.”

The son of a Berlin restaurant owner may be driving. The restaurateur leads a noble Italian in Potsdam. The 22 year old said IMAGE on Friday: “The perpetrator, that is, the driver, turned himself in.” He did not want to comment on whether he was himself.

Police have opened an investigation

According to witness statements, which are now available to the police, this and other videos were created on Sunday afternoon. The reason for the crazy and dangerous action was therefore a car parade to a Turkish wedding party.

Dozens of passersby watched the dangerous spectacle, but no one called the police. “According to the B.Z. report, other witnesses have come forward with some very good information,” said a police spokesman on request.

The relevant section was not aware of the facts until the publication, as the incident had not been reported. The police are now investigating the suspected dangerous interference in road traffic, it said.
