Firing 4 Offensive Assistant Coaches
Nebraska football ended up firing Greg Austin, the offensive line coach and run game coordinator, Matt Lubick, the receivers coach and offensive coordinator, Mario Verduzco, the quarterbacks’ coach, and Ryan Held, the running backs coach.
Meanwhile, Sean Beckton, the tight ends coach, will remain part of the staff.

The Huskers now have two games left, respectively November 20 at Wisconsin and a Black Friday game at home against Iowa. Now, Nebraska is 3-7 overall. Meanwhile, in the Big Ten, it is 1-6 due to four consecutive defeats.
“I appreciate the work and sacrifices these men have made for the University of Nebraska and this football program and wish all of them well,” declared Scott Frost in a statement. “They are all men of outstanding character and good coaches, but as we strive for better consistency and execution, we needed fresh ideas and voices on our offensive staff.”
This season, Nebraska wasn’t the best from an offensive point of view, as it wasn’t able to get to the same defense level Huskers has. However, the offense is the second one in the Big Ten. The Huskers manage to score about 28.6 points every game.
Scott Frost will come back as the football coach of Nebraska in 2022, with a restructured contract.
