Stade Reims became one of the revelations of Ligue 1 last season and ended the season in a nice sixth place. The club from the Champagne region is increasingly finding its way to Belgium for its transfers. In recent years it has already captured Björn Engels and Thomas Foket and last winter it already picked Wout Faes from KV Oostende.
A few days ago, Thibault De Smet (STVV) was also added and now Reims presents another addition from the Jupiler Pro League. Fraser Hornby is taken over from Everton, but last season played for KV Kortrijk. There, the Scottish striker was usually holder for New Year, but he lost his place when Yves Vanderhaeghe switched to a different system.
20-year-old Hornby eventually played fourteen matches for KVK, with four goals and one assist. He has now signed a four-year contract with Reims.
???? An imposing size (1.95m, 86kg) and already very interesting statistics (29 caps, 9 goals in youth selection) give this young 20-year-old striker the status of Scottish hope … International U21 trained in @Everton, @fraser_hornby committed for 4 years! #WelcomeFH ???????????????????????????? pic.twitter.com/dWVAdEM22P
