NEW YORK – A 58-year-old woman died after being pushed down the stairs of a Manhattan subway station earlier this month and police have not found the suspect in this tragedy.
New York City Police said Wednesday they are looking for David Robinson, 52, in connection with the July 17 assault.
The New York City Police noted that the mother and her son were exiting the subway station in Canal Street, before 11:00 am that day, when an unidentified man, who was walking behind them, allegedly assaulted the mother and her son.
According to the uniformed officer, the suspect complained about the 22-year-old victim’s backpack before grabbing it, causing both mother and son to fall down the stairs.
The 58-year-old woman suffered severe trauma to her skull and his family noted Monday on a page of GoFundMe that being loved was not going to survive their injuries and that they planned to donate the organs.
The woman’s son suffered no significant injuries.
The Uniformed stressed that the suspect fled the station. NYPD’s Asian Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the facts.
