After Corona. Year: SAF-Holland increases sales and profits

After a jump in sales and profits, the commercial vehicle supplier SAF-Holland remains more confident for the year as a whole. “The positive business development continued in the third quarter,” said company boss Alexander Geis on Monday when the nine-month figures were presented in Bessenbach near Aschaffenburg. The company confirmed its targets for the year as a whole. Group sales are expected to continue to rise to 1.1 to 1.2 billion euros in 2021. The operating profit margin before interest and taxes (adjusted EBIT margin) should be 7.5 percent.

In the first nine months, sales climbed by 30.5 percent to around 925 million euros compared to the same period in the previous year. The operating result rose to 71.3 million euros, thanks in part to savings. That was an increase of around 85 percent compared to the previous year. The corresponding margin increased by 2.3 percentage points to 7.7 percent. The bottom line was a profit adjusted for special effects of 47.4 million euros after 21.5 million euros a year earlier.
