According to the British tabloid The Mirror, doctors at Buckingham Palace are believed to be examining the queen regularly, given she met with Charles last Tuesday.
The 73-year-old Charles was tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday. He has no obvious symptoms, but Charles’ wife, Camilla, has indicated that the period of isolation seems “tiring” to the prince. Prince Charles first became infected with Covid-19 in the spring of 2020.
Although the castle reports that the queen had no symptoms last week, her contact with Charles has raised concerns about Her Majesty’s health.
A castle source said that “apparently, the situation is being observed”.
Buckingham Palace, meanwhile, has refused to confirm or deny Elizabeth II’s illness with Covid-19, raising concerns about her health. The Queen has received all three doses of the vaccine against Covid-19, which means that she will not be required to self-isolate if the test is negative.
