After Catherine became Princess of Wales, her “right hand” quit her job

One of Kate Middleton’s most trusted aides and ‘right hand’ has stepped down as private secretary just months after Catherine became Princess of Wales.

On 9 September 2022, Kate was given a new title after Charles became king and her husband Prince William inherited his father’s previous title and became the Prince of Wales.

But to the surprise of the royal couple, their most trusted aide Hannah Cockburn-Loggie soon announced her decision to step down as Catherine’s private secretary.

Cockburn-Logija has acted as private secretary since 2020. Her duties included ensuring Princess Day ran smoothly, from coordinating Catherine’s correspondence to arranging royal reports.

He was also responsible for informing Kate of any dignitaries or dignitaries she might meet, as well as escorting Catherine to public meetings.

The Princess of Wales’s London “arm” quit her job for personal reasons shortly after Queen Elizabeth II’s death, The Telegraph said in a statement.

Cockburn-Loggia is also no longer a director of the Prince and Princess of Wales Royal Foundation, according to the UK business register.

Documents confirm that his employment ended on October 31, 2022.

A person close to Kensington Palace said: “Hannah is a fantastic and dynamic leader. A loyal and competent diplomat.”

Before taking on her role as private secretary, she had developed a good relationship with the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when she accompanied them on a seven-day official trip to India and Bhutan in April 2016.
