“Since we borrow it, we will return it to them. Maybe it will be sold or auctioned, it depends on them, but one thing is clear, they lent it to us,” Setia said, quoted by the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel. , Thursday 17 November 2022.
Meanwhile PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM), which lent the Toyota bZ4X electric car for the G20 Bali summit, said it would market used cars used at the event. Sales of bZ4X used at the G20 Summit will be adjusted to the condition of the units, considering there are several units that may not be used because some state guests bring their own operational vehicles.
“The unit used in the G20 will come back to us, we will market it. If the condition is new, we will sell it new, depending on the condition,” said PT TAM marketing director Anton Jimmi Suwandy when meeting at the launch of the Toyota bZ4X last week.
Anton also said that if the unit is used during the G20 summit, the unit will be sold to consumers as a used unit. However, Anton assessed that the units used since the G20 summit weren’t like used cars and tended to still be like new cars.
“For the two days of the G20 summit, secondary units were used, in fact they weren’t really used cars,” explained Anton.
Of note, the G20 Bali Summit itself uses a number of electric car models such as Wuling Air ev, Genesis G80, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Toyota bZ4X. Additionally, there are also electric motorcycles used by law enforcement members as security and patrol vehicles, such as the Zero DSR, Energica EsseEsse9+ and Gesits G1.
It is recorded that there are approximately 844 units electric machine which is used for the transport of VVIP guests, delegates and also for the committee. Meanwhile, for the escort and security police vehicles, there are about 1,500 units.
