After being serviced, iOS 14.4 can warn consumers if there are fake components

Jakarta, Selular.ID – Once a year, Apple launches a major update for iOS devices that runs on all iPhones. Millions of devices get the main new features for free, along with patches for security bugs and interface customization.

The latest version is iOS 14.4, it is available for download on January 26. Of course, the iOS 14.4 update presents an increase, one of which is a warning message information if the iPhone detects the use of an unofficial camera component, aka from a third party.

As Macworld reports, the iOS 14.4 beta 2 developer now throws up an error message when it detects a non-native camera attached to the iPhone.

The message, which reads “Unable to verify this iPhone has a non-genuine Apple camera, can be ignored”

Basically this warning will appear whenever the repair is not done by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

iPhones that are repaired at repairmen other than Apple may cost less, but these services usually don’t use official components.

This is a form of information from Apple to the user, so that the user knows that their iPhone is installed with unofficial components and there is a potential danger that could occur.

According to Apple supporting documents, the use of unofficial components can result in the use of the camera being unable to focus properly. The results of the photo are not as sharp as the use of official components.

This appears to be a step up from Apple, as it continues to struggle against user-serviceable iPhones.
