Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al-Harkan was born in Unaizah in 1962, and he was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors in 2020.
Dr. Al-Harkan holds BA, MA and PhD degrees in Architectural Engineering and Executive Management from King Saud University and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.

He began his career in 1985, in the education sector as a teaching assistant at the College of Architecture and Planning at King Saud University, and held several important positions in the field of education, where he worked as a faculty member at the College of Architecture and Planning, then as a dean for admission and registration affairs, then as an academic president of Al-Faisal University, then as a consultant To the Vice-Dean of King Saud University, then he held the position of Executive Director of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Project for the Development of General Education (Tatweer).
