After Announcing She Has Breast Cancer, Chhavi Mittal Says She Feels “Blessed To Have Caught It Early”.

“I really do have a higher power watching me and I feel blessed to have caught it early. He had been to the doctor for a small gym injury to his chest and that’s when they found the lump. We investigated it more and more until we did a biopsy that came back positive,” the actor wrote.

“To all the women out there, I feel like my gymnastics will literally save my life, but nothing should be left to chance. As a post-cancer patient, one is supposed to have 6 monthly PET scans…so to save your life from breast cancer, PLEASE do regular self-exams/mammograms…and don’t neglect a lump if you find one,” she added.

Mittal also stated that early detection is the “only key and it is worth all the effort.”
