In football, it often happens that the main referee “whistles”, but he does not admit a mistake immediately and sometimes even later. Alternatively, he tries to make up for his obvious mistake by using the other side in another game situation.
However, this is clearly not the case with referee Nisa Peer from the recent 6th round of the second highest Danish competition, in which Vendsyssel FF drew 1: 1 with FC Fredericia. The website sport.pl pointed this out.
After three minutes, the home team took the lead against the leader of the table thanks to Mikkel Wohlgemuth. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 28 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving Samson Iyede completely unmarked. However, he was stopped by the whistle of the head referee Heer’s whistle, who wrongly decided not to leave the advantage and whistled a direct kick for the guests after a foul on Christian Kirkegaard.
In a split second, however, he realized his mistake and made it clear. He grabbed his head and fell to his knees as a sign of humility. “I didn’t want to, I’m sorry,” it could be read from the referee’s lips towards the guests’ players.
Fredericie’s self-reflexing help made him even more by goal. Christian Tue Jensen equalized in the final 1: 1 in the 37th minute. “There are also crazy things going on in football. One of them was performed by a referee in a match against Vendsyssel, who fell to his knees in front of our players. Maybe because they are still undefeated this season.” joked on Facebook profile of FC Fredericia.
Fredericia is in second place after six rounds of the NordicBet League with a balance of four wins and two draws. Vendsyssel is the eighth place with a balance of 0 – 4 – 2.
