György Bognár pulled off an unexpected move by replacing Krisztián Kovács with the young Gábor Vas as right winger, so it is not surprising that the left side of the Paks team was more active in the first few minutes. The home team played in dominance, especially Norbert Könyves showed a lot, but at one point József Windecker interfered with each other when jumping up, or there was a problem with the execution. On the other hand, when Szabolcs Mezei shot, the selected goalkeeper of Fehérvár had to show a feat.
Freed from the initial pressure, the visiting team fighting for second place showed signs of life, but Karamoko in his first jump, the crossbar was still with the Paksians, but in the second door-window position – coming out from behind Ákos Kinyik – he made no mistakes. Not long after, the home side suffered another blow, Norbert Szélpál had to be replaced prematurely due to a thigh strain. The team captain was already on the field in the second half, which the Paks could play with a man advantage due to the sending off of Áron Csongvai. The visitors scored the next goal not long after Karamoko who stepped out again between Kinyik and Szabó, who were playing football with the bandage on their heads. Outnumbered, but with a two-goal advantage, the Fehérvár players smartly wasted time where they could, and the referee also assisted.
The start then held more excitement than the first eighty-four minutes. First, Balázs Balogh improved with a long-range shot, and then in extra time, the ball bounced into the hands of Schön Szabolcs inside the penalty area. Gergő Bogár first awarded a penalty to the players from Paks, which led to a serious argument between the players. After consulting with the assistant, however, he withdrew this (the penalty was preceded by an irregularity), so Fehérvár took the three points from Fehérvár út.
Part of the truth is that Paks played with a lot of mistakes, and with their fourth defeat in the series (with a five-game winless streak), it can be stated that György Bognár’s team is in a hole, and in the battle for second place, it was at a psychological disadvantage against Fehérvár.
Paks’ advantage over its rival has shrunk to one point, in the next round the Atomváros team will visit the Puskás Academy, and the Fejér county team will host Zete.
