Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth are getting divorced. The American actress and the talent manager were married just a few days after twelve years.
“We have some personal news to share…,” the couple wrote in a personal statement held by the American magazine People. “It is with great care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to separate. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and move forward with deep love, friendship and mutual respect for all that we have created together.”
The 47-year-old Witherspoon, known for the Legally Blondeseries, informing 52-year-old Toth that their biggest priority now is to care for their 10-year-old son, Tennessee James. The couple therefore asks that the privacy of the family be respected at this time.
This is Witherspoon’s second divorce. In 2008, she divorced actor Ryan Philippe, to whom she had been married since 1999. From that marriage, Witherspoon has two children: Ava Philippe (23) and Deacon Reese Philippe (19).
