Hope was great. It seemed as if the Spice Girls would almost certainly perform at the coronation concert, but a long-awaited reunion is not in it. The Daily Express also says that both Elton John and Harry Styles are on tour that day and cannot shift their schedules. “Organizers are working against the clock to put together a spectacular line-up, but they ran into some challenges,” a source told The Sun. “Elton John was at the top of Charles’ list, but due to his European tour, where he performs in Germany the Friday before, he doesn’t make it to Britain in time. Meanwhile, the artist of the moment, Harry Styles, is also on tour and will not be able to get his main band members together as they will need a much-needed break.”
But who will come then? For now, Kylie Minogue and Take That have already confirmed. The latter would reportedly be the headliner of the concert. The boy band has been a favorite of the British royal family for years. In 2007, they performed at ‘Concert for Diana’, where Kate Middleton sang along with ‘Back for Good’. Rumors are circulating that Kate will soon also be allowed to sing along with Lionel Richie. “The biggest names and acts in world music are approached for the concert,” said a source. “If you make a list of the hottest acts in the world over the past 30 years, they’re all considered. But Take That was almost at the top of that list and it’s a huge catch for the organizers to get caught so early.”
