Gold prices returned to rise during Sunday’s trading, compared to yesterday’s prices, as the gram increased by about 4 pounds.
Club Naguib, Secretary General of the Gold Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a gram of 21 carat gold rose today to 685 pounds compared to 681 pounds yesterday.
The price of 24 carat gold fell to 783 pounds, 18 carats to 587 pounds, and the gold pound recorded 5480 pounds.
And gold prices in Egypt tumbled yesterday, about 20 pounds per gram.
Global gold prices tumbled yesterday by up to 2.9%, with investors cherishing liquidity and continuing to sell the metal to meet coverage requests in other markets.
Today is the second day of the weekend in global markets.
