A fight breaks out at a New York nightclub, resulting in $12,000 in damages. One of those involved claims to have been beaten by rapper Travis Scott. Kylie Jenner’s ex went into hiding and let his lawyer do the talking.
New York City police are looking for rapper Travis Scott. He is said to have hit the sound engineer at a New York nightclub. According to a police statement, the NBC News is availableofficers from the New York City Police Department “arrived at Club Nebula around 3:25 a.m. on March 1, after an audio engineer said he had been “involved in a verbal altercation with the rapper.”
The statement went on to say that the rapper allowed the argument to “escalate into a physical altercation” before allegedly “slapping the victim on the left side of his face with a closed fist.”
Travis was also charged with damaging a speaker and video screen worth $12,000 before fleeing the scene, police said. She now hopes to speak to Travis Scott.
Clear misunderstanding?
But now there are doubts. In a statement to E! News Scott’s attorney, Mitchell Schuster, said he was confident his client would be cleared of any wrongdoing. “While this is clearly a misunderstanding fueled by clickbait and misinformation, we are actively working with the venue and law enforcement to clarify and set the matter straight,” Mitchell said.
Ritchie Romero, Managing Partner of Club Nebula, added: “It’s totally out of proportion. It was a great night.”
Just hours before his nightclub visit, Scott was a special guest at a Don Toliver concert at Irving Plaza on February 28th. His next scheduled appearance is a headlining gig at the Rolling Loud Festival in Inglewood, California on March 4th.
