It was cold this Monday morning on the synthetic field of James-Delarue for the return to training of the C’Chartres footballers. Despite the freshness, there was a good-natured atmosphere. “They are all happy to get back in touch with the field and to see each other again,” says Pacôme Fofana, one of the club’s physical trainers, a task he shares with his alter ego Robin Moreau.
Should we continue the N2 championship?
This Monday morning, it is not the first time that the players meet since the setting in incubator decreed at the end of October by the government.
Pacôme Fofana relates:
“We saw each other again last week to assess everyone’s work over the past month. Jean-Pierre (Papin) had decided that the guys should repeat the VMA test (maximum aerobic speed). We realized that, for the majority, there had been a loss of at least 1 kilometer compared to the stress test carried out in July during the resumption of the pre-season. This is normal after more than a month without any real outdoor training and there is nothing dramatic. “

As during the first confinement in March, the physical trainers had to adapt to this situation by following the players on a daily basis by video in order to provide them with maintenance sessions. “It’s good, but it does not replace the face-to-face”, confided the physical trainer.
It is therefore a new start for C’Chartres Football which still does not know the date of resumption of the competition:
“Right now, it’s one hour of training in the morning, six days a week. There’s no point in pulling more on the bodies. When we know the date of resumption of the championship, there, we will intensify the sessions. “

Amateur football remains in the dark, awaiting a government decision that is delayed. So much so that the CCF had to cancel its friendly matches scheduled for December. “We had to face Mantes (N3) at the end of the week, then Châteauroux (N3) eight days later and Tours (N3) on December 19th. The one against Auxerre (N2) on January 3 remains in suspense ”, sanctioned Jean-Pierre Papin’s deputy, Maurice Bouquet. And for good reason: contacts in training are not yet authorized!
The time for the recovery has come for the footballers of Eure-et-Loir
It was therefore workshop session in groups of six maximum and a little touching the ball, with passes at a certain distance, “even if they would like to touch it a little more”, smiled Maurice Bouquet.
Maxime Fleury took advantage of the confinement
For this resumption of contact (by far!), Two were missing: the defender Dylan Maga, for personal concern, and the captain Arnaud Archimbaud, who passes his BE (educator diploma) in Châteauroux. One, on the other hand, that the confinement will have delighted is the club’s latest recruit, Maxime Fleury. The former Andrézieux striker dislocated his shoulder in training on October 21, three days before the reception of Lorient (1-1), the last match of the championship. Operated in the wake, his return to competition was set for January. It is indeed the only one to have been able to take advantage of this second investment.
