It is relief to Hambye (Some) where resides the mother ofAlison, an 18-year-old girl who fell into a coma after a medical accident at the southern hospital in Rennes. Following an operation for an ovarian cyst, on May 10, the patient was again admitted to the hospital for internal bleeding.
During emergency intervention, ten times more insulin than normal had been administered by mistake, plunging her into “a severe hypoglycaemic coma”.
Alison regained consciousness
In intensive care, Alison regained consciousness. “This is good news, reports his mother Sabrina Boisloret, to our colleague West France. The mother, who travels every day to be at her daughter’s bedside, had announced that she wanted to file a complaint against the hospital. She does not intend to give it up. In the aftermath of the accident, the management of the establishment expressed its compassion to Alison’s family and opened an internal investigation to understand what happened in the operating room.
