Del Potro, 32, underwent his last surgery in March this year, and had to undergo several wrist surgeries in the past. Nevertheless, the former third player in the world, who is now in the eighth hundred, believes in a successful return.
“I like challenges. And it doesn’t matter if it’s tennis or something else. And this is going to be the most challenging match of my career because I’m struggling with a lot of pain, but I’m not giving up,” Del Potro told ESPN during an ongoing US Open.
