Beyoncé made a controversial return to her concert appearances after a four-year hiatus, the website of the Guardian newspaper reported.
The singer sang 19 songs at a luxury hotel complex in Dubai and performed a joint duet with her 11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
Beyoncé did not sing a single song from the 2022 album “Renaissance”, the Guardian reported. This album has been described as a “love letter” to the pioneers of black music and queer shows.
The Guardian has reached out to the singer’s representatives for clarification on her decision to perform in the UAE.
Concertgoers had to put their cell phones in cases to prevent photography. Nevertheless, footage of the event has surfaced online.
After the concert in Dubai, Beyoncé’s representatives released official photos from the show.
There are no dates for the singer’s “Renaissance” tour yet.
