Initially, the Military Police of Minas Gerais proposed that only identified members be taken to the police station, with the rest being escorted to the airport. However, Boca’s coach, Miguel Ángel Russo, said that Boca would only leave Brazil with all its members.

At the police station, there are also members of security and logistics from Atlético-MG to give statements. They have not yet been identified. All will be released.

It started right after Atlético-MG’s victory, on penalties, over Boca Juniors. With the triumph, Galo reached the quarterfinals. On the way to the locker room, players from the Argentine team clashed with security from Atlético-MG and the stadium. Then, a general fight started in the accesses to the locker rooms, also involving officials and players of the two clubs.
