The misery does not stop for Kirsten Janssens, the eccentric ex of Jaga boss Jan Kriekels, who became known in Flanders through the program The Sky is the Limit. After she voluntarily admitted herself to psychiatry earlier this year and in the meantime seemed to have her life back on track, she was declared bankrupt by the Business Court in Tongeren on Monday.

After her much-discussed relationship ended, and a subsequent marriage was also short-lived, Kirsten Janssens was determined to do her own thing. She opened a webshop The Real Ibiza last year, where she sold clothing and accessories. The store has since been taken offline. She also wrote off the problems in several books. Her most recent work, entitled My Life in Lockdown, has just been released.
But because she had to shift her focus from the business aspect to her mental well-being, the business boomed. This made Kirsten Janssens decide to file a bankruptcy declaration herself. The court has just gone into this, resulting in the judgment.
Elke Roebben has been appointed as curator. She collects the claims, which must be submitted before 10 October.
