Dismissal of the Deputy Minister of Municipal Development

It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian government dismissed, on Sunday, the Deputy Minister of Municipal Development, Vasyl Lozinkich, on suspicion of taking a bribe, while the Ministry of Defense announced the opening of an investigation into accusations of conclusion of contracts at inflated prices for food products intended for the military.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense denied concluding contracts with inflated prices for food products intended for the military, rejecting any accusation of corruption.

The denial came in the wake of local media reports accusing the Ministry of Defense of concluding contracts at prices “two to three times higher” than market prices for basic food products.
