Ammon – On Sunday night, the Benghazi Security Directorate disclosed the details of a strange incident related to an Egyptian who crossed over to the territory ofLibya, after 9 years of marriage.
In detail, the directorate said that an expatriate created his nationality to marry a Libyan citizen, and his wife discovered the truth after 9 years of marriage and giving birth to 3 children from him.
According to the Directorate, the wife filed a complaint with the Directorate saying that she was deceived by her husband, because he had hidden his identification papers, which would have denied her children the right to citizenship Cancel Libya.
The complainant said she got married in 2015, and found out about her husband’s fraud after unsuccessful attempts to register her children with the Civil Registration Authority, as he was out that her husband had Egyptian citizenship and that she was not registered with the Authority.
After investigation and information gathering, the fraudster was arrested, and he admitted during the investigation that he had forged his identity card to complete the marriage contract procedures with the help of his stepfather and to refer the case to Public Prosecutions.
