Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Fans of Egyptian art producer Mohamed Carter, husband of Egyptian artist Shaima Seif, interacted with a blog post he published on his official Facebook page, in did he explain the reason for their childlessness after 6 years of marriage.
Carter wrote: “For a long time I hear people when they meet Shaimaa say that if you lose weight you will be left behind. There’s not a moment of thinking that it’s whole and nothing, and she doesn’t mind having children but she’s my wife.”
He said: “If Shaimaa had married anyone else, she would have been a very normal child, but fate and destiny allowed her to marry me, and we found out after a while that there is a problem I have in terms of reproduction.
Carter’s clarification, described as a “bold testimony” from him, received widespread interaction among his followers and fans of Egyptian artist Shaima Seif on social media.
Many of the two’s colleagues in the Egyptian art community wrote them letters of support, and praised Carter’s courage, wishing them happiness and “a good offspring”.
Shaima recently appeared in the media on the program “Her Excellency” with renowned artist and media personality, Isaad Younis, when she spoke with her usual wit about losing weight after going through “gastric sleeve” surgery, which she rejected and reconciled with her previous appearance.
The Egyptian artist explained her reasons for making this decision, which was not easy for her, and how it affected her current life.
