Anders Vejrgang set his first FIFA 19 record when he was twelve. He is now playing in the RB Leipzig eSports team and never stops winning. At the moment everyone is looking at the talented gamer, one professional even describes him as the Lionel Messi at the console. Last weekend he screwed his winning streak to an incredible 450: 0 in the “Weekend League”.
Vejrgang wants to try esports as a profession
Anders Vejrgang started his console hobby early on. “I’ve always enjoyed playing FIFA, starting with FIFA 13,” he writes. The game FIFA 13 was released more than eight years ago, so today’s FIFA star has a lot of experience. “On average I train about 15 hours a week,” he says in an interview with the German press agency.
How does he fail to go to school? “At the moment, the pandemic is coming towards me, as strange as it may sound,” he says. Digital lessons can be easily combined with it. At the moment he actually sees gambling as a professional option. “But the most important thing is clearly the school. Because you never know what the future will bring.” His family fully supported him in this.
He is only not allowed to participate in the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL), the competition is open to players aged 16 and over. That’s why he and his gaming team at RB had a special wish for his 15th birthday: an exception to the rule.
