Discovery diamond rare again happened in Angola. Country located in south Africa it does contain diamonds.
This pink diamond was discovered by miners in northeastern Angola. Very rare, this diamond was only rediscovered after 300 years ago.
Not only is it a rare type, its size is also recorded as the largest pink diamond. Lucapa Diamond, the owner of the mine which is an Australian company, confirmed that this gemstone was named The Lulo Rose.

Operators say the diamonds will be sold in international auctions by state-owned companies that do business in gems.
Meanwhile the Angolan government responded positively to these findings.
“This record as well as the pink diamond finding from Lulo demonstrates that Angola is an important player in the world when it comes to gem mining,” Natural Resources Minister Diamantino Azevedo said in a statement.
Similar diamonds have been found. Once cut and polished, it sold for a record high price.
The gem, dubbed The Pink Star at 59 carats, sold for US$71.2 million (Rp 10 trillion) in 2017. The Pink Star is the highest-grossing diamond so far.
