Princess Diana’s wedding dress, which she wore during her wedding to British Prince Charles in 1981, was exhibited at Kensington Palace in London, where Diana had previously lived. The taffeta-lace robe has a 7.6 meter long siding, a 1.5 meter long veil and 10,000 pearls.
The exhibition of dresses entitled Royal Style in Production was opened to the public on June 3 and will last until January 2, 2022, writes USA Today. The dress was designed by fashion designers Elizabeth and David Emanuel and in 1981 cost 10,400 euros. Today, their estimated price is 176,000 euros. The last time the public had the opportunity to see them was in 1998, a year after Diana’s tragic death.

The exhibition of lavish dresses in honor of Princess Diana began a month before her late 60th birthday. “Our summer exhibition at Kensington Palace will focus on some of the greatest talents in British design, whose work helped shape the visual identity of the royal family in the 20th century.” said exhibition curator Matthew Storey.
