Manon, who is about one year old, was originally a community cat in Yuen Long. She was adopted by Ms. Ho in May last year. At first, Manon was very afraid of human contact, but after half a year of taking care of her, she finally let her guard down and began to get used to family life. However, when Ms. Ho took Manon to the veterinary clinic in Sham Tseng for sterilization on March 9, Manon suddenly struggled and jumped on the exhaust fan during the blood test, which damaged the exhaust fan, jumped out of the hole, and ran into the Shenjing Village.
Ms. He and many volunteers and enthusiastic citizens started a long-term cat hunting operation. First, they posted cat hunting leaflets in the village, and then put down cat food and cameras in different places, gradually narrowing the scope, but at first there were no Manon at all. Manon was not seen on camera for the first time until March 26.
It turned out that a few days ago, a villager told them that they saw a cat in a place where cats were rarely seen, so they set up two more cameras there. “At 11pm on March 26, we first saw her appear on the video camera, when she walked to eat the cat food we put down, but she was very alert, eating while leaning back, ready to go She ran away, but she only ate for two minutes before leaving.” Ms. He said that they were very excited at that moment, because they knew that Manon was still alive and knew her whereabouts, so they were more confident that they could rescue her.
Until Saturday, April 1st, cat volunteer Mick Kwan locked the location and searched all night, and finally successfully rescued Manon and brought him back to the cattery, and notified Ms. He to come and see the cat at noon.
