British actor Daniel Craig, who last appeared as 007 in the Bond film “No Time to Die”, was named Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George by the British royal family on Friday. That title, often bestowed upon diplomats, is now shared by Craig with the fictional James Bond.

Traditionally, the British royal family honors hundreds of people with orders and awards each year with the New Years Honors. This year, Queen Elizabeth II handed out a total of 1,278 honorary titles. Not only on the eve of the new year, people are honored in this way, but also on the occasion of the Queen’s official birthday. It is celebrated in June, while Queen Elizabeth II was born on April 21, 1926.
