The Afsluitdijk is closed to traffic due to a malfunction on the bridge at Den Oever. The A7 between Hoorn and Heerenveen is closed in both directions.
The bridge can no longer be closed due to the malfunction, the ANWB reports. The Afsluitdijk will be closed for at least an hour. The ANWB has sent a technician to the bridge.
Detours are possible via Flevoland, on the A6 and A7.
