AFRY employs its general management

The Association of Francophones of York Region (AFRY) has just welcomed two new people to its team. After two difficult years of restructuring the organization and restoring budget balance, AFRY is now in a position to resume growth and better serve the Francophone community in York Region.

“I sincerely thank the entire team, the members of the board of directors and our partners who have supported me during this time. Your motivation was a driving force,” said the group’s president, Alain Beaudoin.

Yasmine Malek Menasria will now be the general manager. “Involved in the French community and with extensive experience in project management, strategic marketing and administration, Yasmine will make a significant contribution to AFRY. For almost two years, she has had the opportunity to work in all departments of the Society, which has given her the opportunity to understand the specific challenges associated with development. His master’s degree in marketing and management strengthens his skills in quality management, a key skill to guarantee operational excellence within our organization,” said Mr. Beaudoin.

Over the next year, with the support of her team, Ms. Malek Menasria will, among other things, contribute to the 2025-2030 strategic planning and the development of an action plan. AFRY also hired Ines Ben Romdhane as a community coordinator.

“Ms Malek Menasria has over 15 years of experience in the private and public sectors in a variety of roles, including entrepreneurship and start-ups, project management, business development, education, research and training. She will actively contribute to the achievement of our goals and energize the team. Ines also holds a master’s degree in advanced commercial and marketing studies as well as a master’s degree in management and strategy. Over the next year, she will be involved in the restructuring of our summer camps and the organization of community events,” said Alain Beaudoin.

To facilitate a gradual transition, the President will join the Director General in the new role over the next six months.
