From independence to the present day, renowned architects officiate on the African continent. In Burkina Faso, the opera village, located in Ziniaré about thirty kilometers from the capital, has become a tourist site. Designed by the German director Christoph Schlingensief, and implemented by the Burkinabè architect Francis Kéré, this village will host an opera. Built on a space of twenty hectares in the middle of a granite field, the buildings command the admiration of visitors. This village operated like no other, combines art and education.
