Under the auspices of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC), Dakar, the Senegalese capital, was the setting for the November 14 commemoration of the 23rdth anniversary of the Yamoussoukro Decision Day (YD), placed under the theme “Accelerate the liberalization of African air transport to improve connectivity and continental integration”.
The event brought together more than 170 delegates and 15 Ministers responsible for transport from MUTAA member states, as well as experts from different states and representatives of African regional or international organizations, in the context of market implementation. (MUTAA).
The Gabonese delegation was led by Brice Constant PAILLAT, Minister in charge of Civil Aviation of Gabon, accompanied by Nadine ANATO, Director General of ANAC, and Clovis Arnaud ALUMBA, Head of Studies for the DG.
Several speeches punctuated the opening ceremony, in particular that of the Minister of Air, Rail and Road Transport of the Republic of Togo, AFFOH ATCHA-DEDJI, who launched an appeal to the other States for the implementation of the Decision of Yamoussoukro and of the Single Air Transport Market.
