African Fisherman Accidentally Catches Giant Fish While Fishing in the Atlantic Ocean

KOMPAS.com – A group of fishermen Africa South recently discovered one fish largest blue marlin ever caught in the Atlantic Ocean.

After the beasts had a fight, the men battled the fish for about 30 minutes, using an 80-pound trolling reel with a 130-pound test rope, before finally being able to get the fish aboard.

The crew then kept the marlin safely on deck.

The fish was placed on a digital scale, where it officially weighs in at 1,370 pounds.

It is 12.6 feet long by 6.6 feet thick. The caudal fin itself is nearly three feet wide.

Although the fish is very large, it is not the largest ever caught in the waters.

According to DailyStarthe blue marlin is 32 pounds lighter than the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) All-Tackle World Record holder.

What was caught was a 1,402-pound specimen of fish in Brazilian waters in 1992.
