Raja of Casablanca was eliminated from the quarter-finals of the African Football Champions League, after its white draw (0-0) against Al Ahly of Egypt, in the return match played on Saturday at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca.
In the first leg, Mondher Kebaier’s men lost 2-0.
The start of the first half of the match saw heavy pressure from Raja Casablanca to try to take the lead and reduce their first leg deficit.
The Casablancan club, which missed a penalty at the end of the first half, maintained its pressure during the second period without managing to reverse the course of the match, which was marked by the expulsion of Roger Aholou from the ranks of Raja in the 60th minute.
Al Ahly will face in the semi-final of the African Champions League the winner of Esperance Tunis / JS Kabylie.
