Africa: Protests over Polisario’s attempt to impose at TICAD summit

Algerian moves to illegalize Polisario’s presence at TICAD summit in Japan

The preparatory work of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) was marred by a desperate attempt organized by the Algerian delegation with the aim of falsely introducing members of the “Polisario”.

This incident, according to African media, caused a wave of anger among the participants and shed light on the methods used by the Algerian authorities.

Thus, what was supposed to be a forum dedicated to cooperation and the future of Africa was taken over by illegal and disgraceful movements. In fact, despite Japan’s complete lack of recognition of the fake “SADR”, the Polisario factions found a fake way to infiltrate the talks and preparatory meetings of the TICAD.

Wearing false identities and carrying Algerian passports, separatists were reported to have infiltrated under the guise of the Algerian delegation to gain access to Japanese territory, thereby raising the question of about the integrity of the event.

Despite the clarity of the rules established by Japan, the host country and organizer of TICAD9, which had not invited or recognized this fake entity, these people stopped the talks trying to pass their position as truth

These people brought a false sign in the name of this non-existent entity into the meeting room, hoping to give a false impression of the legitimacy of their actions. This ploy was immediately denied by the Moroccan delegation, with the strong support of the other partners frustrated by this attempt at sabotage.

In response, a senior Japanese official, who chaired the meeting, solemnly affirmed that his country does not recognize the fake “SADR”, thus eliminating any uncertainty and refusing to move illegitimate Algeria and its separatists.
This attack once again shows the main involvement of Algeria as a supporter of this illegal entity.

In fact, this desperate attempt comes after a series of diplomatic victories for Morocco, which reinforced international support for its autonomy plan under Moroccan sovereignty. This support, directed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has shifted the balance in favor of the Sheriff’s Kingdom, leaving Algeria and its separatist project in growing isolation.
