The Pasteur Institute is a center dedicated to biomedical research, which is located in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, and confirmed that it is about to complete the production of many tools for testing the diagnosis of Covid-19, which are portable and affordable and can give results within a few minutes.
It is also mentioned that the institute is running a new project called Dia Tropix, which has been working in partnership with 5 research organizations since March, including the Mogic organization in the United Kingdom to create many tests.
Also, the director of the institute, Amadou Sall, confirmed that the biomedical center wants to purchase the kit for less than one dollar, and also that the set for this rapid test does not require electricity, laboratory or anything, and it is a simple device.
It consists of a simple test strip that is placed in a plastic unit and uses a small blood sample, which is collected through a finger prick, like many tools used to test insulin, and work on a blood test to search for antibodies that are related to the Corona virus, and the result appears on the test strip.
