A rollercoaster in China suddenly stops operating while still in the middle. Apparently, there was a small child who got scared and pressed the emergency button.
The situation became even more complicated because the rollercoaster was in a vertical position, aka ready to plunge downwards. Other tourists who rode the roller coaster panicked and screamed.
An amateur video circulating on social media shows how chaotic the situation was. The location of the incident is mentioned in one of the recreational parks in Nanjing city, China. This incident took place last Sunday (26/6).
Reported detikTravel from AP, Saturday (2/7/2022), tourists who rode the roller coaster were stuck for up to 10 minutes. They remained in their original position until help arrived.
Finally, with great difficulty, the park officials in Jiangsu province managed to free the tourists. The horrific moment was successfully passed without any tourists being injured.
Allegedly, the roller coaster stopped because one of the passengers, a small child, accidentally pressed the emergency stop button. The passenger reasoned that he was very scared when he got on the ride and wanted to just go down.
This isn’t the first rollercoaster-related incident in China. Previously, in 2020 there was a group of tourists who were trapped in a rollercoaster they rode upside down.
The tourist was trapped because there was a technical error on the ride, namely a blackout that occurred throughout the recreation park area. They were finally rescued by officers.
