Afraid of Not Selling? Paulo Dybala Lowers His Salary Demand

The Argentina international star is now clubless after Juventus refused to extend his contract.

Paulo Dybala has reportedly lowered his salary request and is expected to attract the attention of fans.

The 28-year-old Argentina international striker is now without a club after his contract which expires at the end of the 2021/22 season was not renewed by Juventus.

Aside from interest from Inter Milan cooling off, not many clubs have been linked with Dybala transfer rumors so far.

Why aren’t many clubs interested in Dybala?

Inter had emerged as the club most likely to land Dybala for free this summer, but their transfer agenda has changed since Romelu Lukaku’s return from Chelsea.

The Nerazzurri’s salary budget has practically been partially used for Lukaku and there is no room for Dybala to continue negotiating his salary demands.

There have been reports that Dybala is actually willing to reduce his salary request from €10 million per year, which was originally proposed to Juve, to €8 million for Inter, but that amount cannot be accepted either.

The figure he is asking for is still considered too big, so so far not many clubs are interested in signing him. Not to mention the injury factor that has interfered with his recent career with Juventus.

In the face of uncertainty over his future this summer, it is reported that the former Juve star and his agent have started to soften up by willingly lowering his wage demands.

Angelo Mangiante dari Sky Sport Italia said that the Argentina international would now consider an offer of €6 million per year.

This amount is expected to be able to invite more clubs to be interested in signing him. Apart from Inter, there is also interest from AS Roma and recently Manchester United who are reportedly interested in signing Dybala.
