The internet is boiling after this giant spider suddenly appeared under a bridge in Vancouver, Canada.
That’s what the local TV channel writes CTV News Vancouver.
According to the channel, the huge spider, which can cause fear to bubble up in anyone and everyone, appeared under the bridge on Wednesday night.
– Will scare you!
The spider is said to be larger than a human, and hangs under a bridge not far from a SkyTrain station in the Canadian city.
Explains this one
– If you haven’t seen it before, it will probably scare you, writes City News Everywhere.
The local news broadcaster 604 Now Vancouver writes that “everyone is horrified” by the city’s latest grant.
It is supposed to be an art installation, made by an artist who goes by the name Junko Playtime.
– See the fears in the eyes
The sculpture is attached to the stone wall using yellow ropes and metal chains. A red light flashes in the center of the body.
Washing machine exploded: – Could have killed him
The artist himself has shared photos of his work on Instagram, where he writes: “Phobia. Time to face the fear”.
The art installation has not gone unnoticed, and several train commuters have taken part Reddit to share his feelings about the shocking sight:
– I love it. But I have a feeling that people with a spider phobia won’t do it, writes one.
– Scared the living crap out of me!
– We really hate it, replies another.
– I thought I was in a sub-thread about insects, and keep getting a heart attack, writes a third.
Several people suggest simply burning down the bridge, to get rid of the sight of the spider.
– This is just not right!, writes another.
– I saw it, and it scared the shit out of me, writes one person.
– This is actually sadistic, someone writes.
Recycled art
One person draws comparisons to Harry Potter character Gygrid’s pet, the giant spider creature Aragog.
– Farewell, Gygrid’s friend, writes the person.
The artist, who lives in Montreal, has not responded to media inquiries.

Known for making art out of recycled items, Junko Playtime also has two ant sculptures outside a Vancouver art gallery.
The ant sculptures are part of an art festival, and will remain until March 31, writes CTV News. It is not known if the spider project was done on a private initiative, or if the city of Vancouver commissioned it.
