AFP Withdrawal: 65% of Peruvians agree that Congress authorizes the seventh disbursement, according to CPI

The latest CPI survey for radio Exitosa showed that 65.6% of Peruvians agree that the Congress of the Republic approves the seventh withdrawal of up to 4 Tax Tax Units (UITs), equivalent to S/ 20,600, from the AFP .

In detail, the survey revealed that 43.2% of respondents would use the money they would withdraw from their pension funds to launch their own business; 26.5% would use them to pay for personal expenses such as food, clothing, studies or services; and 17% would save that amount.

9.5% would use it to fix or remodel their home; 6.4% would buy a home with this money; 4.2% would use it on health expenses and only 3.7% would spend the money on going on vacation.

One aspect to take into account is that 76.1% of those surveyed have acknowledged that they have withdrawn AFP funds on one of the six previous occasions.

Despite the questions to the AFPs, 42% of those surveyed indicate that private pension administrators should continue to be in charge of the contributions of members and 38.1% consider that this money should be managed by the State.
