Morocco and Paris Saint-Germain player Achraf Hakimi (24) has been charged with raping a woman, French prosecutors told AFP.
Hakimi was questioned by the police on Thursday and then charged, writes the French news agency.
According to RTL an investigation was opened against Hakimi five days ago. Then a 24-year-old woman reported the football star for rape, writes the radio channel.
The channel has seen a summary of the questioning of the woman. There she is said to have explained that she and the football star started chatting on Instagram in mid-January, and that they met on Saturday 25 February.
He then allegedly kissed her on the mouth and breast, according to her explanation. She has explained that he then sexually assaulted her. According to the explanation, this must have happened despite her protesting loudly.
Hakimi is said to have been questioned about the case on Thursday.
